# Reporting and Auditing

SharePoint has one primary report available in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. This report is the SharePoint site usage report, which gives details on the number of active SharePoint Sites, files stored, storage used, and more.

### SharePoint reports on individual users

The SharePoint usage report also contains information on usage from individual users. User names are encoded for privacy purposes by default, but Global Administrators can disable this setting for auditing and other purposes.

User reports show user activity including last activity, emails sent, received, and read, and other usage columns that can be customized for specific purposes.

### SharePoint Audit Logs

Audit logs are available in SharePoint at the site collection level. These logs contain detailed information on content, usage, access, and more.

SharePoint Audit Logs are available within SharePoint settings under Site settings and Audit log reports. Specific audit reports can be run for several actions such as modifications, deletion, policy modifications, content expiration, and more. Custom reports can also be created and run to isolate specific events or date ranges.
