Personal Folders

Personal Folders are folders that haven't been shared

When a managed user creates a folder, it will be personal to the user by default unless this behavior is changed in the account-wide settings by the Admin. The owning user can share then choose to share their content with other users and apply sharing settings.

Personal folders that haven't been shared won't be vieweable in the main account hierachy. However, they can still be seen by users with access to the Admin Console under the Content tab. In the Content tab, content can be viewed and the sharing permissions can also be updated, including generating shared links.
